Foam or self-inflating seat?
The Z Seat is a slice of our dimpled closed-cell foam: 2 ounces, R-value 2.2 and impossible to puncture, so it lives on the outside of a pack. The Lite Seat self-inflates to 1.5 inches of foam and rolls to 6.5 x 2.5 inches; open the valve with one hand to set the firmness.
Where a seat pad comes in handy
Lunch stops on snow, ski-tour transitions, canoe seats, bleachers, outdoor concerts and festival fields. A seat pad also makes a pillow base or a knee pad for pitching the tent.
