Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite NXT Ultralight Sleeping Pad

Triangular Core Matrix baffles stop the air inside from moving heat away from you
$182.51 $209.95
Since 1972 we've been building the layer between you and the cold ground. Ultralight air pads, self-inflating camping mattresses, down sleeping bags and pillows for every night outside.
Our NeoAir pads weigh about as much as a water bottle and still give you three inches of loft. Your pack gets lighter, your nights get longer.
Every pad carries an ASTM R-value, so you know how much cold it stops before you unroll it on frost, sand or snow.
We cut, weld and test pads in our own factory in Seattle. Foam scraps become pillow stuffing; worn pads get repair kits, not landfills.
Our most-packed sleeping pads, bags, quilts and pillows — the gear that comes home dusty and goes right back out.

Most of our sleeping pads, seats and pillows are made in our Seattle factory, a short drive from the Cascades where we test them. The foam is cut there, the fabrics are welded there and every NeoAir is inflated and checked before it ships.
When a pad comes back worn, our repair techs patch it. When foam is left over from cutting, it becomes stuffing for our Compressible pillows. We'd rather your gear lasts twenty seasons than sells twice.
Read our story →Very lightweight and works great to protect my inflatable mattress. It adds R2 to my insulation. It's also a very high-quality product.
Compared to other camp pillows this one for the win. Worth it, you won't regret it. Easy to adjust, light weight, comfortable, and seems to be made quite well. Haven't had to wash it yet, but it looks like it'll be durable. Offers good support unlike many other camp pillows.
Work great on a flight to Europe. Noticeable difference in comfort and super easy to use. I like that it rolls up to as all size and the inflation level can be adjusted quickly. I found the fully inflated level to soft, very glad I didn’t buy a blow up model. Just open the valve and the cushion self inflates then adjust from there.
It's a Micro pump. It's made for the Therm-a-rest pad with the new style valve. I don't have one of those but with a little ingenuity you can make an adapter to use on any mattress and any valve. I use it to inflate a full size coleman air mattress. It worked great and even handled the deflation. It's a little pricey but it's very small and takes up less room and less weight. I am glad I decided on this one.
Came exactly as described. Inflates and holds air well. Comfort should be decent to good for most people. Seems very good quality and new. Since this should be durable and last for many years and is basically, 4 seasons, I think it's a very reasonable price.
What a great pillow. I wasn’t sure at first, but I’ve totally fallen for this thing. It’s way better than the super compact blow up pillows. Hands down better.
A Therm-a-Rest is the self-inflating sleeping pad we invented in 1972 — open-cell foam sealed in an airtight shell with a valve. Today the name covers our whole sleep system: NeoAir air pads, foam pads, camping mattresses, down sleeping bags, quilts, pillows and Honcho Ponchos.
We do, as part of Cascade Designs in Seattle, Washington. Three former Boeing engineers who loved mountaineering started us after a night on a cold, hard foam mat; we're still based in Seattle and still make most of our pads there.
We think so, because a pad is the piece of gear that decides how you sleep. Our pads carry tested R-values, most come with a limited lifetime warranty, and our repair kits keep them going for many seasons, which brings the cost per night way down.
Self-inflating pads: open the valve and let the foam breathe in, then top off with a few breaths. NeoAir pads: use the included pump sack on the WingLock or TwinLock valve, or the NeoAir Micro Pump. Close the valve and let a little air out for your perfect firmness.
Our pads range from about 1.7 for the Z Lite Original foam pad to 7.3 for the NeoAir XTherm NXT. For summer, 2 to 3 is plenty; for three seasons look at 3.5 to 5; for snow camping choose 5.5 or more, or stack a foam pad under an air pad.
A sleeping pad does two jobs: it cushions you from roots and rocks, and it stops the ground from pulling heat out of your body all night. We design every Therm-a-Rest sleeping pad around both. Our NeoAir air pads use internal baffles and reflective layers for high warmth at very low weight, which is why the NeoAir XLite NXT has become the standard for ultralight backpacking. Self-inflating pads like the Trail Pro and BaseCamp blend open-cell foam with air for quiet, stable support, and closed-cell foam pads like the Z Lite SOL can't puncture at all.
A warm sleeping bag only works when the pad under it is insulated, because the down beneath you is crushed flat. That's why our Parsec and Polar Ranger sleeping bags and our Vesper and Corus quilts are built as part of a sleep system. SynergyLink connectors keep a quilt on your pad, Toe-asis pockets warm cold feet, and the Boost 650's WarmZip lets you tighten a roomy bag for an extra ten degrees.
The last ten percent of a good night is a pillow that stays put. Our Air Head pillows inflate to four inches and nest into a mummy hood; our Compressible pillows are stuffed with foam left over from making sleeping pads. Add a Z Seat or Lite Seat for camp and trail breaks, a Honcho Poncho for the fire, and you have the full Therm-a-Rest camping comfort setup — so you rest better and play better the next day.
